Proteomic division

The proteome (all proteins expressed by a cell, an organelle, a tissue or an organism) is a dynamic set due to the temporal, spatial and functional variability of the proteins. A proteomic analysis is a snapshot of the proteome at a given time in a given biological context. Through the use of various methodological approaches, proteomics can answer the following questions:

· Identification of purified or complex proteins
· Protein characterization
· Quantitative differential analysis of biological sample groups
