Le PromethION-24
Le PromethION-24 est un séquenceur très haut débit également proposé par ONT. Il permet de faire fonctionner jusqu’à 24 flow cells simultanément, avec dans chaque flow cell 3000 nanopores fonctionnant en parallèle et permettant d’atteindre un rendement de 100 à 200 Gb de données par flow cell selon les applications (pour un séquençage de 72h et une vitesse de 420 bases/sec). La capacité des flow cell PromethION est environ 6 fois plus importante que celle de la flow cell MinION.
Plusieurs applications possibles : séquençage de larges génomes (humain, souris, …), multiplexage d’un large nombre de microorganismes et de séquence ciblés, transcriptomes entiers…
The iScan array scanner
The iScan is a high resolution optic imaging system using two confocal red and green lasers. This equipment allows a high throughput scanning of high density chips for genetic analyses such as genotyping and methylation.
The iScan allows :
- Images acquisition and visualization
- Row data extraction and recording for specific analytical applications
The Autoloader2 robotic arm
The autoloader2 is a robotic arm that automatically loads the racks containing the Bead Chips at the time of scanning. This equipment can process until 48 racks of 4 chips.
The automated Tecan Freedom EVO 150-Illumina
Two automated Tecan Freedom EVO 150 exclusively dedicated to Illumina’s array experiments are available on the platform. One robot in the “Pre-Amplification” room and a second one in the “Post-Amplification” room allowing automation of most steps of the genotyping and methylation analysis protocol using the Infinium technology. These automated machines are controlled by Illumina Automation control software on which programs are implemented thus offering great robustness and reproducibility of the results.
Illumina accessories
These small equipments combine together the accessories necessary for the incubation, drying, homogenization, hybridization, sealing and washing steps described on Illumina’s Infinium protocol.
GenomeStudio software
GenomeStudio is a modular software package for visualizing and controlling the quality of data from genotyping and methylation analysis projects by DNA arrays. This software is freely downloadable from the Illumina website and accessible via the link :
